Facilities.
The Kaikoura Golf Club is open to the public every day throughout the year, except when it’s closed for tournaments or competitions. You can check the availability by referring to the programme or contacting the club manager. Please note that even during competitions, it may be possible to play a round. Once again, you can check with the clubhouse manager for details.
The course is well-maintained by full-time greenkeeping staff and features watered greens and fairways. The clubhouse has bar facilities and light refreshments are available. Full catering can be arranged for visiting groups or clubs.
The clubhouse is open seven days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It’s not necessary to book your tee time, but if you want a preferred time, you can contact the clubhouse manager, who will help you arrange your golf schedule.
If the clubhouse is unattended, you can pay your green fees by EFTPOS, cash, or online. See the rates below for more information. A range of clubs, including left-handed ones, are available for hire. Trundlers and golf carts can also be hired.
A practice fairway is available for those who want to improve their game.

Even though Kaikoura is a popular tourist destination in New Zealand, our 18-hole links course offers a relaxing and peaceful golfing experience, free from the hustle and bustle of busy city courses.
Players who want to pay green fees can do so at the bar. If the clubhouse is unattended, there are three ways to make payment:
- EFTPOS at the card printing machine
- Cash in the slot located to the right of the clubhouse door
- Online payment to BNZ Kaikoura 02-0856-0010724-00. Please put your name in the Particulars section and Green Fees as a Reference.

Golf Lessons.
Toni Batey is proud to be the resident professional at the Kaikoura Golf Club. She is an NZPGA-qualified golf pro with more than 35 years of experience. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, Toni can provide lessons tailored to your needs and abilities. Lessons can be on the course or a particular part of your game.
For non-members, golf lessons are available for $45 per half-hour. However, Kaikoura Golf Club members can get discounted lessons. Vouchers are also available as a gift. To book a lesson, you need to contact Toni in advance. She is available for lessons seven days a week.
During the summer, kids golf and adult group lessons are conducted on Monday nights. If you are interested in a series of 5 lessons starting in November, contact Toni to get your name down. Toni can provide all the necessary golf equipment to use at no charge.
